Camp Benedict is an HIV / AIDS education and support program for Minnesota families in which one or more family members is infected with HIV.  It is located 160 miles north of the Twin Cities on the Whitefish Chain of Lakes.  In addition to educational programs, campers may enjoy a full range of recreational activities.  Educational programs are age appropriate and include such topics as "HIV 101 - Learn the Facts"; dealing with stress, grief and loss, and the stigma of living with HIV - and the stigma of living with someone living with HIV; medication do's and dont’s; spirituality; and men's and women's support groups.  Recreational activities include swimming, boating, fishing, hiking, arts & crafts, horse-back riding, campfires, and Karaoke - "typical" summer fun stuff that's not so typical for a lot of kids and families.
